Although this is not a recent cartoon, it is effective in addressing how the "All Lives Matter" argument misses the purpose of the "Black Lives Matter" movement. The "Black Lives Matter" movement's intention is to emphasize on the injustice events that have occurred from police brutality strictly because of the victim's race. So, in the cartoon, the character expresses, "All lives matter," and that all things should be care for equally at all times. Using this idea, the character hoses down both house equally, despite the urgency for the burning house to be extinguished. The flames of the house on the right can be seen as the need or urgency for action, while the hose can resemble the attention on the subject. This cartoon displays the flawed logic of the "All Lives Matter" argument by suggesting that it is true that all lives matter, but the need for the attention to be directed towards black lives is necessary because they are in the most critical state at the time due to police brutality.
