"United Nations" - Ranan Lurie

picked this political cartoon to discuss as a rhetorical element because I
believe it is very true. This post shows how people in the government promise
to much, and how we only get a little in return. The guy in the red, white and
blue represents an American and how we are promised a lot. The server
represents the president or someone high in the government. This shows how when
the president is running for office and promises a lot of things to the public.
When in reality he cannot possibly fulfill or accomplish all that he has
promised in his time of office. This shows that we need a president who is
going to fulfill his promises to us people and not for them to just say he will
and then not. when it comes to the dinner table and them thinking they have
fulfilled all they have promised and expecting a full meal in return. but in
reality they only fulfilled a little bit of what they promised. This shows the people
of the US being upset by that by the look on his face when he opens and sees
the "food" on the platter that the president is presenting to him. This
means that our next president better fulfill all of his duties and promises he
made for us because we voted for him to be president because we liked what he
was going to change and the promises he made. This is more of an awareness political
cartoon showing that this needs to change with our next president.
